For Greed: Sense away. Being Greed, he wants everything, it's not exactly difficult to tell. Psychologically, he's basically a huge seething mass of WANT. On the "deep dark secret" level, his truest desire is for friends, so go ahead and have Crowley notice that if he puts his mind to it.
Tempting him... would probably be possible under certain circumstances, but I think it would more usually be like trying to burn ash. He's always acting on his desires, and if there's one he's not indulging it's because he's busy with a stronger one. But, if for any reason he's resisting one, go ahead and tempt.
