Alexander Crowley was born and raised in Storybrooke, just like everyone else. He was poor growing up and got into crime early, mostly petty stuff like shoplifting and boosting cars. In his later teens and adulthood, however, he got into heavier stuff and joined Storybrooke's tiny criminal organization. He earned some minor local notoriety, but most recently he has been arrested for arson. He is being held in the Storybrooke Jail awaiting transfer to prison when the event starts.

Crowley is a demon, which means that temptation is pretty much his game. And considering he was once the snake that tempted Eve, he's pretty damn good at it. This means that, among other typical demon powers, he can sense desires and can also, if he sets his mind to it, tempt people by lowering their inhibitions and making them more open to suggestion.

Since this, moreso than his other demonic powers, can veer into godmodding/infomodding territory, here's a permissions post! Let me know the following in the comments:

*Can Crowley sense your character's desires? Note: these tend to be superficial desires and less so deep dark secret desires--though he can figure the latter out if he concentrates enough.

*Can Crowley tempt your character? This can be anything from tempting someone to break a diet to tempting them to infidelity.
